NC President condoles death of Baglung accident’s victims



Kathmandu : Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba issued a press statement here today expressing profound sorrow over the demise of 14 people killed in a road accident Baglung district on Tuesday.

A Jeep (Ga 1 Ja 5219) travelling to Nishikhola in Baglung from Gulmi district met with an accident at Bhimgithe in Baglung district, killing all 14 on the spot. Three others critically injured in the incident are receiving treatment at the local health facility.

The former Prime Minister, in the condolence message, has extended his deep sorrow over the incident.

Extending his condolences to the bereaved families and praying for the eternal peace of the departed souls, Deuba has wished for the speedy recovery of the injured ones.

Drawing the attention of the incumbent government to form a task force at the earliest to investigate the cause of road accidents, he voiced his concern over the growing cases of road accidents in Nepal.

He also urged the government to put in places the necessary measures to curb such accidents in future.
