Kathmandu, Sept 18: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba said our country is rich in religions, cultures and festivals.
These festivals are our identity and pride, he stressed. In a message given today on occasion of the Teej festival, NC President Deuba wished peace and prosperity to all Nepalis, and believed such festivals have contributed to strengthening social amity and unity.
Deuba, also the former Prime Minister, viewed our tradition to express mutual love, goodwill, trust and brotherhood in all festivals have reflected our society as a common garden. Furthermore, he acknowledged that the Teej festival holds a special significance in fostering family bonds as married women visit their natal homes on this day.
On the occasion, he wished this festival increased joy and sense of belongingness in our families as well as in our society and country. RSS
