Inaruwa : Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the NC would always fight for the protection of democracy.

At a programme organised at 44th National Unity and Reconciliation Day at Inaruwa by Nepali Congress, Sunsari, on Wednesday, President Deuba said that the NC would work to protect democracy as much as possible as protecting democracy is the main goal of the NC.

Saying NC fought with kings Mahendra, Birendra and Gyanendra for the protection of democracy, he said the time had come for the NC to fight with the present government now. The NC President mentioned that the NC was ready to fight with anyone who is working against democracy.

Also former Prime Minister, Deuba blamed NC’s leaders of speaking haphazardly against him rather than raising the voice against government’s wrong doings. He determined that the NC would not let the IT bill, registered by the government at the Parliament, pass at any cost.

NC President Deuba mentioned that the NC would give name for the candidate of HoR speaker tomorrow even though the Nepal Communist Party has not been able to nominate candidate for the post of speaker yet.
