KATHMANDU: Chairman of Nepal Communist party (NCP) and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has issued directives for immediately reconstituting all the party committees at the district and the people’s organisation levels.

Addressing a gathering of leading party workers from NCP Nuwakot and who are available in Kathmandu, today, he urged the party leaders and workers to go to the people’s doorstep and become active as the date for fresh election has already been announced with the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

“I urge all not to be in doubt about the elections not taking place. I request all to be united and involve in the party purification campaign for the right principles we have adopted and for the prosperity of the nation,” party Chair and Prime Minister Oli said.

Stating that the party has adopted the ideology of “people’s democracy” on the guidance of the main thought of “people’s multi-party democracy” at present and this could be gradually revised, the party chairman claimed that those seeking to split the party did not have any ideology.

He alleged that some leaders were trying to misguide the youths but the government and the party was in favour of peaceful political activities. “We do not believe in violence but believe in people. There would not be any irregularities now in the name of combatants’ funds or election unlike in the past,” party Chair Oli asserted.

At the programme, NCP Nuwakot’s leader Keshav Raj Pandey said the party will organize a district-level programme in Nuwakot on February 1.
