KATHMANDU: The NCP (Prachanda-Madhav faction) has said that the appointment made by the government to the constitutional body on Wednesday was the culmination of force. And, against that, the party has called a nationwide general strike for tomorrow, Thursday.

On the recommendation of the government, President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Wednesday appointed 32 officials in the constitutional bodies including the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority and the Election Commission.

Stating that they are compelled to hold a general strike against it, he said, “There will be some uncomfortable situation. We have apologized on behalf of the party for this.”
