NCP secretariat meeting postponed for September 3



Kathmandu: The Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed till September 3, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s press advisor, Surya Thapa, said.

According to him, the meeting has been postponed due to the risk of COVID-19.

Prime Minister and party chairman Oli and party another chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had earlier agreed to call the Secretariat meeting after a taskforce the party had formed to resolve the dispute in the party submitted its report.

The meeting had been called for discussing the report submitted by this taskforce.

The party had formed the six-member taskforce on August 14 under the convenorship of general secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel. It submitted its report along with recommendations to the party chairmen on August 22.
