NCP secretariat meeting stresses on discipline in party



            Kathmandu, Aug 27:  The Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has decided to strengthen party discipline.  The meeting held under the chairmanship of chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda’ at party headquarters Dhumrabarahi has taken various decisions on Monday.

            Earlier, the secretariat meeting had entrusted chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to conduct the party meetings and make necessary decisions in the absence of chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. 

            The meeting has urged all leaders to put their dissatisfaction in the party meeting not in social media.  The meeting has decided to ask clarification from those who put their views in social media instead of party meetings. 

            Similarly, the meeting has nominated four members in central committee.  They are Devendra Parajuli, Kalpana Dhamala, Padma Rai and Kiran, said party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha. 

            Likewise, the meeting has changed the responsibility of party sister wings in charge, chief and deputy chiefs of party department.

            Bhanubhakta Dhakal has been nominated as chief of National Security Department while Ram Kumar Rai as the deputy chief of the same department.

            Similarly, Pramesh Hamal has been nominated as the deputy coordinator of Policy Research Foundation. 

            Likewise, Bishnu Rijal has been nominated as the deputy chief of foreign affairs department.  

            Amrita Thapa and Sita Poudel have been named as deputy in-charge of the All Nepal Women Association. Suresh Ale Magar and Sher Bahadur Tamang have been picked as deputy in-charge of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities and its respective organisations.

            Likewise, Tilak Pariyar and Bom Lal Bishwakarma have been nominated as deputy in-charge of Nepal Dalit Mukti Sangathan. Maheshwar Dahal has been chosen as Nepal Press Organization.

            Kedar Neupane has been picked as in charge of the Jana Sanskritik Mahasangh Nepal and its respective organisations, and Khagendra Rai as deputy in charge.

            Likewise, Jeevan Ghimire and Ajambar Kangwang Rai have been named as deputy in charge of the Sports Federation Nepal. Ram Kumari Jhakri and Hikmat Karki have been chosen as deputy in charges of the Progressive Engineering Association and Teacher’s Association respectively.

            Ram Chandra Sah Teli has been named as in charge of Parsa, and Chuda Mani Jangali as deputy in charge of Kaski. Dipak Devkota has been chosen as deputy in charge of Kailali, Til Kumar Meyangbo as deputy in charge of Taplejung, Bhagawati Chaudhary as deputy in charge of Sunsari and Pramod Kumar Yadav as deputy in charge of Siraha.

            Next meeting of the secretariat would settle issue relating to prabash committee along with the issuance of related directives, said party spokesperson Shrestha.

            Likewise, next secretariat meeting would resolve issues relating to metropolitan city, central advisor committee, national council, senior citizen’s forum and commissions, he added.             The meeting also wished for good health of party chair and PM Oli. The meeting was attended by NCP senior leaders Jhalanath Khanal and Madhav Kumar Nepal, acting PM Ishwar Pokharel, party general secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel, secretariat members Bamdev Gautam and Ram Bahadur Thapa and spokesperson Shrestha.
