Kathmandu, Nov 23: A battalion of Nepal Army has left for the joint military exercise (Surya Kiran-XVII) to be held in Pithoragarh, India beginning from tomorrow.
Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepali Army informed that 354 members of Nepal Army under the leadership of Subas KC, the Lieutenant of Nepal Army, left for the 17th edition of the joint exercise of the Nepal Army and the Indian Army.
Every year there is a military exercise between Nepal and India. The exercise was held in Rupandehi’s Saljhandi last December/January. As part of this 14 days exercise, practical knowledge about forest warfare including disaster management, counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism will be imparted.
