Nepal batting first in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League-2 clash



Kathmandu, Oct 27: Nepal is displaying a strong batting performance against the USA in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League-2. After winning the toss, the USA invited Nepal to bat first.

Nepali opening batsman Aasif Sheikh scored 52 runs before being caught behind off the bowling of Jasdeep Singh. Likewise, Anil Sah scored 56 and Kushal Bhurtel 11 runs.  Sah and Bhurtel were out with the bowling of Nosthus Kenjige.

Nepal has lost 3 wickets in quick succession. Nepal scored 126 runs with loss of 3 wickets in 25 overs.

Currently, captain Rohit Kumar Paudel and Aarif Sheif are in the crease.

In this tri-nation series, Nepal, USA, and Scotland are competing.

This is Nepal’s first match in the series being held at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

During the tri-series, Nepal will play two matches against both the US and Scotland, with the second match against Scotland scheduled for Tuesday.

The ICC World Cup League-2 includes Canada, the USA, the Netherlands, Scotland, Namibia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Nepal. Nepal is currently ranked seventh in the League-2 points table, with three points from eight matches and only one win.
