Nepal beat Afghanistan by 1 wicket, enters in Super Six



Kathmandu, Jan 26: Nepal has entered the Super Six under the ICC U-19 World Cup One-Day cricket tournament. Nepal reached the Super Six by defeating Afghanistan by one wicket.

Chasing a target of 146 runs, Nepal completed the target in 44.4 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Captain Dev Khanal played an emphatic half-century innings for Nepal. He scored 58 runs off 89 balls. Similarly, Deepak Bohora scored 27 runs off 42 balls. Akash Tripathi scored 16 runs, Arjun Kumal scored 10 runs. Similarly, Subash Bhandari remained unbeaten on 9 runs. He hit the winning four.

Before that, Afghanistan won the toss in South Africa’s East London cricket ground and chose to bat first.

Aakash Chand picked five wickets as Nepal had Afghanistan floundering up top.
