Kathmandu, March 3: Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea by three wickets under the ICC World CUP League-2.
Nepal completed the target of 180 runs posted by Papua New Guinea in 48 overs by losing seven wickets while Sandeep Lamichhane collected 35 runs.
Similarly, Kushal Malla made 23 runs while Gyanendra Malla gathered six runs and Dipendra Singh Airi eight runs.
Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, Papua New Guinea made 179 runs at 49.2 overs losing all wickets in a match held at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Sompal Kami and Dipendra Singh Airi took two wickets apiece while Kushal Malla, Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC one wicket each. With the victory, Nepal is in sixth position by winning 14 matches in 31 games.
