Nepal inclusive education summit scheduled for December 15

Kathmandu, Dec 6: The first Nepal Inclusive Education Summit 2025 is set to convene on December 15 in Kathmandu.

Organised by Inclusive Education Nepal, in collaboration with various government and non-government stakeholders, the Summit aims to unite all relevant actors in advancing inclusive and equitable education both within and beyond the classroom.

According to the organizers, the event will bring together representatives from the Ministry of Education, local governments, universities, teachers’ associations, organizations of persons with disabilities, parent and community networks, as well as private sector institutions.

The gathering seeks to jointly identify the barriers hindering the effective implementation of inclusive education in Nepal and to formulate strategies to overcome them.

Ram Tiwari, Director of Inclusive Education Nepal, said the Summit represents “an important milestone in Nepal’s education sector, as all stakeholders come together to translate the country’s policy commitments into real practices through a nationwide movement for meaningful change.”

He added that sustainable progress is achievable only when government and non-government sectors work collaboratively toward a shared goal.

The conclusions of the Summit are expected to contribute to the development of a national roadmap aimed at strengthening inclusive education across Nepal, according to the organizers. #nepal #education
