Nepal lost the toss, Qatar invites Nepal to bat first



Kathmandu, April 27: Nepal has lost the toss in the last match of Group A under ACC Premier Cricket tournament. Qatar captain Mohammed Rizlan won the toss and decided to field first in the toss held at Tribhuvan University cricket ground in Kirtipur.

Nepal wants to win the group by defeating Qatar. Nepal is on the second place in the points table with five points after winning two of the three matches played and sharing points in one.

Earlier, Nepal defeated Malaysia by six wickets in the first match and defeated Oman by 84 runs in the second match. Similarly, Nepal shared points with Saudi Arabia due to rain stopped play. If Nepal wins today’s match, Nepal will become the winner of Group A. Qatar is winless in all three matches and is already out of the tournament.

Nepal has lost two wickets in 6.3 overs after scoring just 29 runs. Nepal’s opening batsman Kushal Bhurtel was out on 2 and Bhim Sharki on 6 runs. Both the players were out on the bowling of Gayan Munaweera.

Now, Aasif Sheikh and captain Rohit Paudel are on the crease.
