Nepal lost to Bangladesh by 21 runs in T20 World Cup



Kathmandu, June 17: Nepal lost to Bangladesh in the last group match by 21 runs as part of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup played at the St Vincent ground.

Earlier, after winning the toss Nepal invited Bangla team to bat first and restricted them on 106 runs in a bouncy and spin pitch.

However it was a low scoring game. Nepali opening batsmen couldn’t deliver well, and Nepal lost five wicket before 30 runs on the board.

Nepal was scored just 85 runs in 19.2 over losing all wickets.

In the middle over, Kushal Malla (27) and Dipendra Singh Airee (25) managed to resist.

Devastating Bangladeshi bowler Tanzim Hasan took 4 and Mustafizur Rahman took 3 wickets.

With winning the match, Bangladesh qualified for the super eight.
