Kathmandu, March 31: Dipak Raj Joshi of the Nepal Student Union (NSU), a Nepali Congress affiliated student wing, has been elected as the President in the Free Student Union elections held at Tribhuvan University’s Central Campus in Kirtipur on Monday.
Out of 3,108 total votes cast, Joshi secured 789 votes, narrowly defeating Siddhant Bhatta of ANNFSU (affilated to CPN UML), who received 781 votes.
Other candidates likePrabin Dahal of ANNISU (Revolutionary) secured 727 votes while independent candidate Ujjwal Khadka garnered 515 votes.
While Joshi won the presidency, candidates from ANNFSU secured victories in other positions like Hikmat Kumar Budha (ANNFSU) elected as Secretary and Sanchamaya Subba (ANNFSU) won the position of Treasurer. #nepal #TU
