Banke: Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city has been declared prohibited zone for three days.
An all-party meeting held under chairmanship of Chief District Officer Kumar Bahadur Khadka on Monday decided to declare the area prohibited zone from 11:00am on May 5 to May 7 mid-night, according to the District Administration Office.
Similarly, the meeting also took the decision to fully close the vegetable market until next notice. The movement of people except security personnel, health workers and human resources involved in collecting swab and contact tracing has been fully restricted.
The meeting also decided to take action against those publishing, disseminating and uploading materials spoiling social and religious harmony.
CDO Khadka said the Nepalgunj sub-metropolis has been declared prohibited zone after 16 people from Nepalgunj tested positive for coronavirus on May 1 and May 3.
Similarly, some rural municipalities bordering Nepalgunj sub-metropolis have also fully halted human mobility.
