Kathmandu, April 6: The NEPSE index closed at 1,866.79 Thursday after losing 8.28 points from the last trading day’s closing. This is a loss of 0.44%. The index gained 8.39 points yesterday.
Today the index opened at 1,875.88 and went intraday high of 1,888.82. In contrast, it went as low as 1,864.51 and ultimately closed at 1,866.79.
A total of 269 scrips traded hands via 23,388 transactions. A total of 2,870,819 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 92.06 Crores in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day’s turnover of Rs. 81.6 Crores.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 4.92 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 405 per share.
Kalinchowk Darshan Limited (KDL) gained the highest 9.98% and technically hit the positive circuit for the day.
Conversely, Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) lost the highest 7.43% today.
Only three sector indices closed green, “Trading” gained the highest 0.19% while “Finance” lost the highest 1.42% today.
