NEPSE gains 92.42 points on Monday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index gained 92.42 points on Monday and closed at 2,586.01. This is the highest closing in the history of NEPSE. The index gained a massive 3.71% to gain this closing today.

The index opened at 2,564.44 and did not trade at anything lower than that. The market closing itself is the intraday high.

According to NEPSE, 22,447,157 shares traded hands via 68,319 transactions. The trading of 205 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 10.38 billion. This is the third-highest intraday turnover ever recorded.

While the float index gained 6.7 points and closed at 177.36, the Sensitive index is at 469.44 after gaining 15.33 points.

Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 70.48 crores. The units of the Sanima Equity Fund (SAEF) traded the most.

A total of 41 companies have hit the positive circuit today. This is the highest record we have seen in NEPSE so far.

Meanwhile, Panchakanya Mai Hydropower lost the most 4.03%.

All sectors have gained today. Microfinance is the highest gaining sector with an impressive 8.74% sector gain.
