KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has gained 9.94 points on Wednesday and closed at 2,611.45.
The index opened at 2,623.64 and went on to make an intraday high at 2,611.45. While the index went as low as 2,596.19, it ultimately closed at 2,611.45.
According to NEPSE, 17,688,271 shares traded hands via 76,630 transactions. The trading of 203 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 8.03 billion.
While the float index gained points and closed at 180.26, the Sensitive index is at 475.00 after gaining 1.47 points.
Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 69.43 crores.
A total of 3 companies have hit the positive circuit today. Meanwhile, Sunrise First Mutual Fund lost the most 4.53%.
Five sectors gained while seven others closed red. While Trading gained the most 2.20%, Manu.& Pro. lost the most 1.48%.
