Kathmandu, Feb 1: On Wednesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose slightly than previous day. Today, the index increased by 4.97 points to 2,116.65 points.
According to NEPSE, 55,24,381 shares of 261 companies were bought and sold, with a transaction amounting to nearly NRs 1.77 billion.
Today, the sub-indices of investment, microfinance, mutual funds, business and other groups have decreased, while the sub-indices of all other groups have increased.
According to NEPSE, investment group decreased by 0.35 points, microfinance group by 15.48 points, mutual fund by 0.05 points, other group by 1.27 points and business group by 3.63 points.
The highest increase was seen in the life insurance group sub-index of 88.05 points and the hotel and tourism group sub-index of 50.48 points.
Similarly, banking group increased by 0.62 points, finance group by 9.54 points, hydropower group by 3.77 points, manufacturing group by 28 points and non-life insurance by 20.05 points.
The share price of Adarsh Laghubitta Financial Institution has a positive circuit. Investors of NIBL Samriddhi Fund-2 lost the most at the rate of 3.74 percent per share.
