NEPSE index fell by 3.21 points today



Kathmandu, Aug 7: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which fell on the first day of trading this week, has fallen for the second day today. Today, NEPSE index decreased by 3.21 points to 2048.26 points.

The sub-indices of banking, hydropower, investment and other groups have decreased, while the sub-indices of all other groups have increased.

Banking group decreased by 12.19 points, hydropower by 7.34, investment by 0.03 and other groups by 5.57 points. The sub-index of hotel and tourism group increased by 76.46 points and the sub-index of life insurance group increased by 60.14 points. Development bank 53.56, finance 28.87, production and processing 4.15, microfinance 11.01 and mutual fund group increased by 0.01 points.

Similarly, the non-life insurance group increased by 7.73 points and business increased by 27.15 points, NEPSE said. The share price of Nepal Republic Media Limited has increased the most today by 9.99 percent. The share price of Chhyangdi Hydropower decreased by 6.45 percent.
