Kathmandu, April 5: The NEPSE index closed at 1,875.07 on Wednesday after gaining 8.39 points from the last trading day’s closing. This is a gain of 0.45%. The index lost 5.20 points yesterday.
Today the index opened at 1,866.83 and went intraday low of 1,857.63. In contrast, it went as high as 1,878.53 and ultimately closed at 1,875.07.
A total of 262 scrips traded hands via 21,504 transactions. A total of 2,602,956 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 81.6 Crores in turnover amount. This is lower than the last trading day’s turnover of Rs. 91.76 Crores.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 6.43 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 409 per share.
Kalinchowk Darshan Limited (KDL) gained the highest 9.97% and technically hit the positive circuit for the day.
Conversely, Citizens Mutual Fund -1 (CMF1) lost the highest 7.14% today.
Only three sector indices closed red, “Hotel and Tourism” gained the highest 0.52% while “Non-Life Insurance” lost the highest 1.04% today.
