KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index lost 23.22 points on Tuesday and closed at 2,461.88.
The index opened at 2,494.05 and did not trade at anything higher than that.
The index lost in intraday action today, going as low as 2,453.53. With this, total volatility of 40.52 points was observed in the trading session today.
According to NEPSE, 12,482,428 shares traded hands via 52,591 transactions. The trading of 210 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 4.75 billion.
While the float index lost 1.69 points and closed at 169.70, the Sensitive index is at 445.21 after losing 4.47 points.
Shikhar Insurance Company Limited (SICL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 65.35 crores. The units of Global IME Samunnat Scheme 1 (GIMES1) traded the most.
The top 5 highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today.
Meanwhile, Support Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMB) lost the most 5.18%.
Three sectors gained today and all others closed red. While Hotel and Tourism gained the most 2.98%, Manufacturing and Products lost the most 1.67%.
