NEPSE loses 33.33 points

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index lost 33.33 points on Sunday and closed at 2,493.59. The index opened at 2,536.47, which is also the intraday high. While the index went as low as 2,482.24, it ultimately closed at 2,493.59.

According to NEPSE, 14,851,592 shares traded hands via 58,309 transactions. The trading of 202 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.92 billion.

While the float index lost 2.1 points and closed at 170.66, the Sensitive index is at 454.12 after losing 9.31 points.

Neco Insurance Company has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 52.44 crores. The shares of Nepal Bank traded the most.

Nepal Infrastructure Bank is the only company to have hit the 10% positive circuit today. Today was NIFRA’s first day of trading in the secondary market.

Meanwhile, Support Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMB) lost the most 9.27%.

Only Mutual Funds gained 1.09% today. Among all the other sectors that lost, the sector “Others” has lost the most 2.23%.
