Binzhou China: The National Forum of Photo Journalists (NFPJ Nepal) has inaugurated a photo exhibition in China, titled “Flying Over the Himalayas: Shandong Cultural Week and Fascinating Nepal.” This exhibition is a collaborative effort between NFPJ Nepal, the Binzhou Photographers Association, Chinese tourism photographer Su Xue, and the Nepal-China Friendship Association.
Highlighting Nepal’s breathtaking landscapes, rich art, diverse culture, and vibrant lifestyle, the exhibition features approximately 100 captivating photographs taken by photojournalists from various Nepali media outlets. These photos will be displayed across different cities in Shandong Province for a month.
A 14-member NFPJ Nepal delegation along Pradip Raj Onta, Central President traveled to Shandong Province to participate in the event. The exhibition’s opening ceremony was graced by Huang Zhijun, the former deputy propaganda minister of Shandong Province.
During the event, NFPJ Nepal and the Binzhou Photographers Association signed an agreement to strengthen cultural and professional collaboration in photography. Addressing the gathering, Bai Mei, Binzhou’s Director of Foreign Affairs emphasized the role of photography in fostering Nepal-China friendship and supporting China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
NFPJ Nepal President Onta expressed his delight in showcasing Nepal’s mesmerizing photographs in Shandong, hoping the exhibition would further enhance bilateral ties and promote tourism. Similarly, Sunil Sharma, NFPJ Vice President highlighted the exhibition’s potential to attract Chinese tourists and contribute to the Visit Nepal Year 2025 campaign.
This unique initiative promises to deepen cultural connections and boost tourism between the two neighboring countries.
