Kathmandu, Nov 18: Courts across the country have been asked for updating and publishing the information in the office in every three months and for appointing an information officer.
A meeting of the National Information Commission (NIC) held on November 10 gave an instruction to this regard.
It, through the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, directed courts to make a provision for the proactive disclosure of information in each three months as mandated by the Right to Information Act 2064 BS (2007).
Likewise, it has sought the name, contact number and email ID of information officer for the public availability.
As the Commission states, the directives came in response to the concerns about the non-implementation of RTI provisions in some courts during the recent Right to Information Federation’s Conference.
