Kathmandu: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has endorsed Laxmi Bahadur Nirala recommended for the appointment as a member in the Judicial Council (JC). The recommendation was endorsed unanimously today.
Committee President Laxmanlal Karna said Nirala seemed a right candidate for the appointment on the basis of his competency and experiences.
Earlier, the Committee had called for the registration of complaint (if there remains) against his recommendation, but no complaint was filed. Today was fixed for conducting a hearing in case of the registration of any complaint against Nirala, but with no complaint, the recommendation was endorsed today itself.
The December 19 meeting of the Council of Ministers had recommended him to be appointed as the member of Judicial Council.
