No alternative to republic, Home Minister Lekhak says



Nawalparasi, March 22: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak said on Saturday that there can be no system as an option to republic.

At a programme in Gaindakot of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta Purva), the Home Minister said the publicity of nothing has happened in republic period was wrong.

I don’t mean that there are no problems in the country. There are problems of unemployment, poor infrastructures on economic, education and development. Economic growth has not been achieved as expected. But it is not true that country is only full of challenges. Several jobs have been done despite challenges. Efforts are ongoing to do a lot,” Home Minister argued.

Lekhak stated that the government was committed to implementing by identifying the key development potentials in the country. He also said that common efforts are needed to move ahead in the path of development.
Minister Lekhak asked one and all not to get engaged on false narrative about development during the republic period.

Totalitarianism cannot be an option to democracy and monarchy cannot be an option to republic,” the Home Minister asserted.Likewise, he said that many achievements have been obtained after the establishment of republic and further efforts are needed to get further progress.

On the occasion, the Home Minister argued that there have been significant achievements in the areas of health care, education and others sectors and called for giving more emphasis on job creation.#nepal #political #rss
