No Shortage of Paracetamol in the market

Kathmandu, Oct 25: Nepal Aushadhi Limited has stated that reports of a shortage of paracetamol in the market are just rumors. The Managing Director, Kailash Kumar Paneru, assured that there is no shortage of paracetamol and that it is being produced regularly.

He further stated, “We are producing paracetamol regularly. We are operating in two shifts daily. Along with paracetamol, other medications such as life-saving drugs are also being produced.” According to him, they produce 300,000 paracetamol tablets daily.

“During the dengue outbreak, we heard that paracetamol was unavailable, so we issued a notice,” said Paneru. Due to various complaints regarding the alleged shortage of paracetamol, the NAL issued a notice on Thursday to address the matter.

The notice mentions that the NAL has been supplying paracetamol in the required quantities to all the stockholders, government hospitals, and health supply management agencies under all three levels of government that have contacted them for purchases.

To target the increasing dengue infection, the Limited has made arrangements for the general public to easily access paracetamol. Anyone can purchase the required amount from the sales branch counter located in Babarmahal, Kathmandu, from 8 AM to 6 PM. #paracetamol #nepal #dengue
