KATHMANDU: A sponsorship agreement was signed between the Nepal Olympic Committee and Kamaru Trading, the official seller of KELME brand in Nepal, on Friday.
KELME brand’s sportswear, kidbags, sports shoes, socks, hats and handkerchiefs will be sponsored for the Nepali team participating in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
The agreement was signed by Nepal Olympic Committee Chairman Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Director at Kamaru Pradip Neupane.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Shrestha said that cooperation and partnership between the private sector was necessary for the development of sports. He said that even though the agreement is only for the Tokyo Olympics, there have been discussions for long-term cooperation and partnership.
KELME has previously sponsored ANFA, departmental teams, taekwondo, karate and has been collaborating with volleyball.
