Kathmandu, Jan 15: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), a government entity, has increased the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene.
The corporation’s board of directors decided to raise the price of petrol by Rs 2 per liter and the prices of diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per liter, effective from today midnight.
With this price adjustment, the price of petrol has been set at Rs 162.50 per liter for the first category, Rs 164 for the second category, and Rs 165 for the third category. Similarly, the price of diesel and kerosene has been set at Rs 153.50 per liter for the first category, Rs 155 for the second category, and Rs 156 for the third category.
The corporation has categorized depots in various locations into different classes: Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj depots are categorized as first category; Surkhet and Dang as second category; and depots in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal as third category.
The corporation clarified that the price adjustment was made following the new purchase rates from the Indian Oil Corporation, with an increase of Rs 2.24 per liter for petrol and Rs 3.55 per liter for diesel. #petrol #diesel #NOC #nepal
