Kathmandu, Aug 15: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the state-owned entity, has increased the price of petrol while reducing the prices of diesel and kerosene. According to the corporation, the new prices will take effect from Friday midnight.
As stated in the press release, the retail price of petrol has been increased by Rs 2 per liter, while the prices of diesel and kerosene have been reduced by Rs 1 per liter. With the price adjustment, the petrol will be available at Rs. 161 per liter in Kathmandu while diesel/kerosene will cost Rs. 149 per liter.
The NOC adjusts petro prices in every 15 days after receiving the new price list from Indian Oil Corporation of India. Nepal, in recent years, purchases all the petro products including petrol, diesel, kerosene, LPG, aviation fuel from India. #noc #nepal #petro
