Kathmandu, July 15: Nepal Oil Corporation, a government entity, has increased the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene. The corporation has increased the price of petrol by Rs 4 per liter and diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per liter with effect from Monday mid-night.
With the increase in price, the price of petrol per liter in the first, second and third categories remained at Rs 168.50, Rs 170.00 and Rs 171 respectively and the price of diesel and kerosene per liter remained at Rs. 157.50, Rs. 159 and Rs. 160 respectively.
Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj are under the first category while Surkhet and Dang fall under the second category. Kathmandu, Pokhara and Deepayl are under the third category.
Spokesman Manoj Thakur informed that today’s meeting of the board of directors of the corporation decided to increase the price.
According to the new purchase price received from the Indian Oil Corporation today, the price of petroleum products in the local market has been adjusted as petrol has increased by Rs. 4.48 per liter and diesel by Rs. 2.83 per liter.
