Kathmandu, Aug 31: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of petroleum products. The corporation issued a statement on Thursday and said that the price of petrol, diesel, kerosene and LPG gas has increased.
According to the corporation, the prices of petrol increased by Rs. 4 per liter while diesel and kerosene increased by Rs. 3 per liter. The cooking LPG gas price increased by Rs. 235 per cylinder. Now, the customers in Kathmandu have to pay Rs. 182 per liter for petrol, and LPG gas Rs. 1895 per cylinder. Likewise, the price of diesel and kerosene will cost Rs. 170 per liter in Kathmandu.
The corporation said that the prices were adjusted after the Indian Oil Corporation increased the prices of petro products. The new rate will be effective from 12 pm tonight.
The NOC revises the price of petro products in every 15 days in a “automatic price adjustment system”. The prices of petro products in Nepal depends upon the rate available from Indian Oil Corporation.
