Kathmandu, Dec 1: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the state-owned entity, has reduced the price of diesel and kerosene. A meeting of the corporation’s board has decided to lower the price by Rs 1 per litre, effective from Monday midnight.
Following the price adjustment, diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 143.50 per litre for first-category depots, Rs 145 for second-category depots, and Rs 146 for third-category depots.
NOC has categorized its depots as follows: Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj under the first category; Surkhet and Dang under the second category; and Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal under the third category.
Meanwhile, the Corporation has increased the price of aviation fuel, both domestic and international. According to NOC, the price of domestic aviation fuel rose by Rs 6 per litre, while the price of international aviation fuel in Kathmandu has increased by USD 42 per kiloliter. With this adjustment, domestic aviation fuel now costs Rs 134 per litre, and international aviation fuel has reached USD 1,015 per kiloliter.
NOC stated that the changes were made based on the latest purchase rates received from Indian Oil Corporation on Sunday, which showed a decrease of Rs 1.44 per litre in diesel/kerosene and an increase of Rs 5.62 per litre in aviation fuel. #nepal #NOC
