NPL 2025: Two matches taking place today



Kathmandu, Nov 18: Two matches are scheduled for today in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025, the franchise-based Twenty20 cricket tournament that kicked off in Kirtipur on Monday.

In the first match, beginning at 11:45 am, Chitwan Rhinos will take on Karnali Yaks. Chitwan will be led by Kushal Malla, while Sompal Kami captains Karnali.

The second match will feature Biratnagar Kings against Pokhara Avengers, captained by Sandeep Lamichhane and Kushal Bhurtel, respectively.

In Monday’s opening clash, defending champion Janakpur Bolts was defeated by Kathmandu Gorkhas by five wickets.

According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the tournament will run until December 13, featuring 32 matches in total, including the league stage, three playoffs, and the final.

The tournament winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 11 million, while the runner-up will earn Rs 5.1 million. The third-placed team will receive Rs 2.5 million, and the fourth-placed team will get Rs 1.5 million.

All NPL matches are being held at the Kirtipur Cricket Ground.
