Kathmandu, Nov 24: Biratnagar Kings have registered their third consecutive win in the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Biratnagar defeated Janakpur Bolts by 9 runs, thanks to leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane for crucial 4 wickets.
Chasing a modest target of 136 runs, Janakpur Bolts only managed to score 126 runs losing 9 wickets. For Janakpur, Lahiru Milantha scored 23 runs, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton 41, Sanjay Krishnamurthi 20 and Aasif Sheikh 13 runs. Other batsmen couldn’t score double figure.
Earlier, batting first, Biratnagar alo struggled hard to reach a total of 135 in 20 overs. For Biratnagar, Shubham Ranjane top scored with 37 runs, while Basir Ahamad scored 36, Lokesh Bam 28, George Munsey 10 and Martin Guptill 13 runs.
Rupesh Singh and Sangeeth Coorey took 2 wickets each and Aaditya Mahata took 1 wicket for Janakpur. #npl #biratnagar #cricket
