Kathmandu, Jan 21: President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), Badri KC, has drawn attention of Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on the issue of Non-Resident Nepali citizenship.
In a meeting with NC President Deuba, the NRNA President requested him to resolve the problems, citing though the government has started providing NRN Citizenship to Nepalis residing abroad, problem has surfaced in lack of its implementation.
KC complained that Nepalis residing in foreign land were disappointed after the government brought an ordinance enabling NRNs to obtain free visa up to 10 years despite drawing the government attention time and again for the rights envisioned by the constitution.
On the occasion, President Deuba expressed commitment to take possible initiatives from his side to resolve NRNA-related problems.
