On Monday, NEPSE fell by 71 points again



KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index, which measures the share turnover, has also declined on the second day of the week. The NEPSE Index fell by 71.06 points to 2,834.40.

The Sensitive Index, which measures Class A transactions, fell by 8.37 points to 520.18. The transaction amount has reached around Rs 12 billion.

A total of about 23 million shares of 227 companies have been traded through 130,397 transactions. Out of which, the transaction amount has reached Rs. 11.84 billion.

Today, finance companies were the biggest losers, followed by hydropower companies. Narayani Development Bank investors earned the most. However, the development bank group has declined by 4.6 percent.

Narayani’s share price increased by about 10 percent despite a 71-point landslide in the market.

The bank was preparing to issue 1:2 right shares. But the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, has given approval to issue rights only in the ratio of 1:1.
