KATHMANDU: Leaders of the Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the ruling CPN (UML) have said that the current government should be protected as much as possible.
Leaders of the central committee of the UML’s Nepal group, who gathered at a hotel in Kathmandu to discuss the latest situation, are of the view that the current left-wing government should be saved.
After the meeting, leader Raghuji Panta responded to the media by saying, “What my friends have suggested about the government is that the government should be formed by the communists.”
He said that the UML, as the largest communist party, should once again lead the Left Unity.
The Madhav Nepal faction has concluded that the task of uniting the CPN (UML) is now in the hands of the Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli.
The Madhav Nepal faction has come under tremendous pressure after the Supreme Court revived CPN (UML).
