Kathmandu:The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu organized an art exhibition and artist talk titled “Colours of Pakistan through the Brush of a Nepali Artist” on January 28, 2026, at its premises, showcasing the creative works of renowned Nepali artist Ms. Bidhata KC.
The exhibition featured paintings inspired by Ms. KC’s artistic journey in Pakistan, where she participated in the “Artist Residency Program for South Asian Countries.” Her artworks reflected Pakistan’s diverse landscapes, cultural heritage, and vibrant social life, presenting them through a unique Nepali artistic perspective.

The event was attended by art enthusiasts, civil society members, media professionals, social media influencers, and friends and families of the Pakistan Embassy. The diverse presence highlighted the growing interest in strengthening people-to-people and cultural ties between Nepal and Pakistan.

During the artist talk, Ms. Bidhata KC shared her travel experiences across Pakistan and explained how the country’s rich traditions and warm hospitality influenced her creative expression. She expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan and the Embassy in Kathmandu for providing her the opportunity and appreciated Pakistan’s artistic and cultural environment.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, H.E. Mr. Abrar Hashmi, praised the artist’s exceptional work and noted that cultural diplomacy plays a vital role in enhancing bilateral relations. He reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to promoting mutual understanding and shared heritage between the two nations.

Participants commended the Embassy’s efforts in organizing the exhibition and applauded the depth and originality of Ms. KC’s artwork.
On the occasion, the Embassy also announced that the Pakistan Food Festival will be held in Kathmandu from February 5 to 7, 2026, providing another platform to showcase Pakistan’s rich culinary and cultural traditions to the Nepali public. #Nepal
