Kathmandu, Dec 8: The Federal Parliament Hearing Committee, Nepal, on Friday unanimously approved the name of Sanil Nepal as Nepal’s ambassador for Portugal.
The Committee approved Nepal’s name unanimously, Committee’s senior-most member Pashupati Shumsher JBR said.
At the Committee’s meeting on Friday, Nepal had made a presentation on his plans of action and said that he would discharge his duty to the best of his knowledge, capacity and consciences.
He also said that he would work to bring in 10,000 tourists from Portugal to Nepal every year.
Earlier on October 19, the government had decided to open Nepal Embassy in Portugal and recommend Nepal as the ambassador there.
