Kathmandu, Feb 5: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday challenging the ordinance of the Koshi Province Government to provide vehicle facility to the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties.

Legal practitioner Kapil Dev Dhakal and Rajendra Prasad Dangal lodged the petition at the SC stating that the ordinance was against the constitution and deserves annulment.

The Koshi Province Government had introduced an Ordinance on Some Province Acts Amendment by increasing the number of the office-bearers of the Province Assembly.

As per the ordinance, the province government was preparing to provide facilities to the parliamentary party leaders of all ruling parties and opponent parties naming them as the province assembly office-bearers. #Nepal
