Kathmandu, Dec 31: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the government entity, has revised the prices of petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel. As per the NOC Board of Directors, the new rates will be effective from midnight Tuesday. Petrol prices have been increased by Rs 1 per liter, and diesel prices have risen by Rs 2 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of aviation fuel has been reduced by Rs 2 per liter for domestic flights and by USD 15 per kiloliter for international flights in Kathmandu.
With this adjustment, petrol prices are now set at Rs 160.50 per liter for the first category, Rs 162 per liter for the second category, and Rs 163 per liter for the third category. Similarly, diesel prices are Rs 150.50 per liter for the first category, Rs 152 per liter for the second category, and Rs 153 per liter for the third category.
The depots at Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj fall under the first category. The Surkhet and Dang depots are classified as the second category, while Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal depots fall under the third category.
The price of aviation fuel for domestic flights is set at Rs 126 per liter, while for international flights from Kathmandu, it is USD 960 per kiloliter.
According to NOC, the price adjustment was made following the latest purchase rates received from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). According to NOC, the IOC increased the petrol by Rs 1.09 per liter, diesel by Rs 2.22 per liter, and aviation fuel decreased by Rs 1.71 per liter. #noc #petro #nepal
