Kathmandu, Dec 16: Nepal Oil Corporation, the government entity, has increased the price of petrol while reducing the prices of diesel and kerosene. The corporation’s board meeting today decided to implement the new rates from midnight.
The price of petrol has been increased by Rs 2 per liter, whereas the prices of diesel and kerosene have been reduced by Rs 2 per liter.

- Petrol:
- First category: Rs 159.50 per liter
- Second category: Rs 161 per liter
- Third category: Rs 162 per liter
- Diesel and Kerosene:
- First category: Rs 148.50 per liter
- Second category: Rs 150 per liter
- Third category: Rs 151 per liter
Category division:
- First Category: Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj.
- Second Category: Surkhet and Dang.
- Third Category: Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal.
The corporation clarified that the new retail price applies within a 15 km radius of depots.
According to Nepal Oil Corporation, the adjustment was made due to the latest purchase prices received today from the Indian Oil Corporation, which showed an increase of Rs 2.28 per liter for petrol and a decrease of Rs 1.48 per liter for diesel. #nepal #oil #petro
