Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has consulted with Election Commission officials for the election of the President, Vice President and vacant members of the National Assembly.
In the discussion held at the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers on Monday, Singh Durbar, he asked the officials of the commission to start the necessary process for the election of the president, vice president and member of the National Assembly as per the provisions in the constitution and law.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the successful completion of the local level elections, provincial assembly member elections and House of Representative member elections.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane and others were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapalia and other commissioners informed about the functioning of the Election Commission and the election process.
