Kathmandu, Sept 18: Prime Minister Sushila Karki and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation today.
During the call, Prime Minister Karki extended warm greetings to Prime Minister Modi on the occasion of his 75th birthday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She also recalled the age-old, friendly relations between Nepal and India and briefed him on Nepal’s recent political developments.
In return, Prime Minister Modi congratulated Prime Minister Karki on her appointment. He reaffirmed that, as a close neighbor, India would continue to extend its support to Nepal in the days ahead.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the two leaders discussed Nepal–India relations, bilateral interests, and various matters of mutual concern during the conversation. #nepal #india #modi
