New York, Sept 23: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli who is currently in New York to participate in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) held a meeting with Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, here on Sunday.
According to officials at the Foreign Ministry, matters related to Nepal-India bilateral interests and mutual benefits were discussed on the occasion.
The meeting was also attended by the Foreign Ministers of India Dr S Jaishankar and Foreign Ministe Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, and members of the delegations.
This was first meet between PM Modi and PM Oli after Oli became Prime Minister of Nepal.
Giving a brief response after the meeting, Prime Minister Oli told the media that the meeting was positive in many ways.
Foreign Minister Dr Rana, who participated in the meeting, informed that the meeting was cordial and Indian Prime Minister Modi will visit Nepal soon.
Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sewa Lamsal, Representative of the UN Mission (Ambassador) Lok Bahadur Thapa were also in the meeting. #nepal #india #modi
