Sarlahi, May 4: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that he was committed to the dignity of Madhesi people and their socioeconomic development.
Addressing a mass meeting at Balara of Sarhali to welcome different people in the CPN (Maoist Centre) on Saturday, the PM and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman expressed confidence that people in Madhes would stand for their liberation since public awakening has been created there lately.
The PM stated that his government has worked with top priority to address the issues of the usury victims and those deprived of citizenship.
In his speech, the PM reiterated his stance to seriously address the concerns of Madhes in the coming days as well adding that the upcoming fiscal year’s budget will accord top priority to the agendas of Madhes.
He shared that irrigation and electrification drives are the priority in Tarai adding that productivity will not increase without irrigation supply. “Irrigation supply in Madhes is my first priority,” PM Dahal added.
Expressing serious concerns about the ongoing incidences of fire taking place across the country, the PM pledged to provide relief to the fire victims.
The PM shared that the government has decided to provide Rs 50,000 per household for immediate relief assistance to the fire victims.
On the occasion, a large number of party leaders and cadres from Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), Janata Samajwadi Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Janamat Party and other political parties defected to join the Maoist Centre.
Earlier, the PM inaugurated the newly constructed building of Janata Namuna Secondary School at Balara of Gadhiya Dumariya Municipality, Sarlahi. RSS #nepal
