PM, ruling alliance’s top leaders hold discussion on Cabinet expansion, by-election

Kathmandu, April 15 : Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and top leaders of the ruling alliance held a discussion on Cabinet expansion on Saturday.

At the discussion held at Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, the issues of Cabinet expansion and by-election surfaced in the meeting, according to PM’s press expert, Manohari Timilsina.

Currently, PM Dahal is also bearing the additional responsibility of six ministries.

As part of his plan to give final shape to the Cabinet, PM Dahal held discussion with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal. The meeting was also attended by NC Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa, CPN (Unified Socialist), Ghanashyam Bhushal and others, Timilsina added.

On the occasion, PM Dahal sought cooperation from alliance leaders for Cabinet expansion. He also urged the top leaders to make effective the government activities.

NC has been unable to nominate leaders for Cabinet ministers, thereby causing delay in Cabinet expansion.

PM Dahal is ready to allocate four more ministries to the NC and two ministries to two other parties. RSS
